The Maritime Academy of Nigeria is an educational institution owned by the federal government in Oron, Akwa Iborn State, Nigeria. In the beginning, this maritime academy was named Nautical College of Nigeria.
It was found in 1979 to train and educate shipboard officers and shore-based management personnels. The first batch of this maritime academy graduated in 1983.
The students’ ages of The Maritime Academy of Nigeria range from 16 years old to 25 years old. This maritime academy provides its students qualitative education which accords to the latest technology and meets both national and international standards.
